Stir-Fry Cancer

Not long ago I marked the 20th anniversary of a major bout with cancer. It was an experience I never thought I’d forget. But inevitably, I did. Or at least a lot of it. Then, suddenly, all the memories came roaring back—of tests, treatments, and uncertain outcomes—when a doctor felt something during a routine exam. I wrote about all of this in an essay called “Stir-fry Cancer,” and I’m so grateful to Persimmon Tree for publishing it in their beautiful magazine. You can read it here and if you like it, I’d be truly grateful if you’d spread the word.
