This Sunday, Nov. 13, Read650, in collaboration with City Winery New York, presents “Vows,” a show about the promises we make to effect changes in our lives. I’m part of a cast of a dozen writers who will be reading our personal, five-minute true stories about taking, breaking and fulfilling vows –at the altar, the 12-step meeting, or at the kitchen table, counting calories.

My story is about getting married to Stan at the New York City Clerk’s office about, um, a million years ago, and how it was the second-most important thing that happened to me that day. Come find out why!

The fun begins at 2 p.m. at The Loft, a bar and performance space upstairs at City Winery on Pier 57 on the Hudson River, a few blocks west of the Chelsea Market.
